Who is Julie Kaye?

Julie began her advertising career as a Prepress Production Coordinator back in the pre-digital/electronic day when projects were done by hand. Prepress work involved a detailed, nuanced film stripping process in which film negatives were painstakingly arranged to create a page. Although fully fluent in today’s computer technology as well as the shortened prepress process, the experience of learning how to produce quality color printed materials from the ground up has given her an aesthetic edge. Even in the present computer design world the finished product is still print. What looks good on a computer screen does not necessarily translate to paper. From years of experience,  Julie has a knack for coming up with that “extra oomph,” an intangible quality that makes a business’s message stand out from all the rest.

Within a few years, Julie brought her production and design experience to a marketing communications agency in Red Bank where she moved up from account executive to account manager, where she developed national promotions and programs for Fortune 100 companies. After a few more years of hard work, Julie became a partner and managed the agency and its clients. She successfully helped grow the business and client list each year, transforming it into one of the largest agencies in the area.

Although leaving the fast paced agency world to raise two small children, Julie has always kept a hand in the business world working as a project consultant. She spent the past decade honing her own graphic-design skills and providing expert marketing and design services to small, local businesses and non-profit organizations. She even started a publishing company, launching an annual Equine Directory.
